Plaintiffs Donnie and Sharon Farner, Western Colorado Energy, LLC, Max Fanning, Daniel Rupple and David Rupple, individually and on behalf of a class of similarly situated persons, have brought suit against Verdad Oil and Gas Corp. alleging that Verdad Oil and Gas Corp. has underpaid royalties on oil and natural gas by improperly deducting post-production costs from royalty payments, thereby breaching the Plaintiffs’ and the class members’ lease agreements.

On June 8, 2026, the District Court for Adams County, Colorado Preliminarily Approved a proposed class action settlement reached between the Plaintiffs and Verdad Oil and Gas Corp. The proposed class-wide settlement relates to Verdad’s calculation and payment of natural gas and oil royalties pursuant to certain royalty agreements.
